    A seasonal service between Takayama and Kiso-Fukushima was launched. Website of Nohi bus has the detail.

    New night buses between Toba / Ise and Fukuoka leave each city every night (12.75hours JPY12000 Toba-Fukuoka). Another new service is running between Hamamatsu and Yokohama. Everyday 2 departures (3.75hours JPY3700 Hamamatsu - Yokohama railway station).

  3. 21-Jun-2010 / New Service Kyoto-Toyohashi
    A new service between Toyohashi and Kyoto is launched on 1-July-2010. Duration between Kyoto and Toyohashi is 3.5-3.75hours. They offer the discount price of JPY2500 for oneway till 31-Aug-2010. The normal fare after that will be JPY3500. Webstie of Toyotetsu bus (JP) has the detail.

  4. 06-Jun-2010 / New Service
    Weekend services between Oita/Beppu and Kokura are launched on 11-Jun-2010. They have four departures on each Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Holiday till 27-Mar-2011. Its duration is three hours. JPY2200 for oneway. SUNQ pass also can be used. For more information, refer to the website of Nishitetsu, Kamenoi bus (JP) and Oita kotsu (JP).

  5. 27-May-2010 / Doremi bus stop is moving.
    Okayama Railway Station East (Doremi no Machi) bus stop moves to the opposite side of the station on 1-Jun-2010. Its new position is the west gate of Okayama railway station. Detail is in the website of Ryobi bus.

    A part of expressway buses are not able to stop at Kyoto Fukakusa, Meishin-Oyamazaki, Meishin-Takatsuki and Meishin-Ibaraki (Ibaraki interchange) till the morning of 22-May-2010 because of road works on the expressway.

    Service between Maebashi / Takasaki and Utsunomiya will be launched on 24-Feb. Four services a day. Duration is two hours (Takasaki - Utsunomiya). JPY1500 For more details Nipponchuo Bus or Kanto Jidosha (Japanese).
  18. 01-Feb-2010 / Minibus of Chichi-jima island
    Website of Ogasawara village has route maps and timetables of minibus plying on Chichi-jima island. We also can see pictures of buses that got painted of dolphins.
    Services between Osaka, Kobe and Awaji-shima island had changed a little from last month.

  21. --Winter timetable of expressway buses--
    Because of snow coverage, most of expressway buses in Tohoku and Hokkaido area require 10 to 20 minutes of extra time between December and March.

  22. --Bus services in new year's day--
    Many local services and some long distance services are cancelled on 1-January. If you plan to travel on this day watch the websites of carriers or ask each company you are going to use.
    And if you plan to travel at the end of year, book your seat as soon as possible. Because many people spend their new year vacation (not Christmas) in their hometown.

    A trial operation between Kanoya and Kagoshima for market research started on 01-Decenber.Five services a day, JPY1300 for OW. Its duration is 2hours. Ask Osumi Kotsu Network bus or Kanoya city hall for more information.
    Another trial operation between Fukuoka and Usuki / Saiki started on 04-Decenber. Two buses will ply on every Friday and weekends till May of 2010. JPY3800 (Fukuoka-Saiki) / JPY3300(Fukuoka-Usuki) for oneway. See the websites of Nishitetsu or Oita Bus for more information.

    Website will be temporary suspended due to server maintenance during 0200-0800 9th Nov./JST (1700-2300 8th Nov./GST).

    All the function of this website is available by Mac OS 10.5.8 & Safari4. Opera is not recommended both for Windows and Mac because some functions do not run well.

  27. --Term of roadworks on Tomei expressway (5 to 16-Oct)--
    Some of daytime services from Tokyo to Shizuoka, Nagoya, Kyoto and Osaka are canceled between 5th October and 16th October (and v.v.). And other services which use Tomei expressway are also expected to take more time than the description of this site during this period. Alternatively, we can book buses which use another route Chuo expressway if going to the towns farther than Nagoya.

    Daytime services between Tokyo and Osaka are expected to take more time than the description of this site from 18-Sep to 23-Sep because of a potential of heavy traffic jam of consecutive holidays.
